Retreat Farm Harvest Festival

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13TH

Gates open 10:00am |  Ends 4:00 pm

PUT DOWN THE RAKE, GRAB THE KIDS, AND HEAD DOWN TO RETREAT FARM FOR OUR 2018 HARVEST FESTIVAL! 

Cook pumpkin bread over the fire, press fresh apple cider, take a haywagon ride and enjoy Abenaki storytelling, live music, craft brews from the Alchemist, and local food truck fare. Fantastic fall fun is waiting for you at the Farm.

Tickets include admission to the Children’s Farm and Forest and all activities except wagon rides. Excludes food and beverage.

Children under 2 free!

*Our Open Barn program provides reduced admission for EBT, Medicaid, and Reduced/Free School Lunch letter or cardholders.

DONUT HANG (all day)
Can you eat a cider donut with no hands? Try and see.

PUMPKIN PAINTING (all day)
Decorate a gourd to take home with you.

11:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM | GOAT BINGO
Purchase a square on our oversize bingo board and try your luck! Prizes include a one-night-stay at the Grafton Inn, a week of Summer Camp at Retreat Farm, Alchemist beer and more!

11:00 AM & 1:00 PM | CIDER PRESSING
Try your hand a cider pressing by transforming crisp apples into liquid gold!

11:30 AM | CAMPFIRE COOKING
Stop by the fire ring to make some pumpkin bread on a stick!

12:00PM | HISTORY WALK
Take a walking tour of the farm with one of our resident farm historians!

1:00 PM |  ABENAKI STORYTELLING
with Willow Greene around the fire

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM | FACE PAINTING

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | FALL FOREST RAMBLE
Identify fall leaves and make a majestic leaf crown to take home!

3:00 PM | PUMPKIN PIÑATA
Take a swing at breaking open our pumpkin shaped piñata!

4:30 PM | MISSA GAIA
End your day with a concert! Paul and Susan Dedell will lead a chorus of 40 singers and a variety of musicians in a production of Missa Gaia. This joyful thanksgiving for the environment will take place outside, under the Pole Barn.
